Originally from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, I moved to Loughborough in 2012 to study Sport Science at Loughborough University and pursue my sport - javelin. I absolutely loved throwing and found the process of training incredibly interesting. Unfortunately, during a warm weather training camp in Portugal, I dislocated my throwing shoulder during an 85kg back jerk when I wa 18.

During the 4 year rehab period after two shoulder surgeries (Len Funk), I managed to throw a PB of 49.56m in 2017. Throughout this tough time, I used the rehab time to qualify in sports massage therapy and developed my javelin and strength and conditioning coaching.

After graduating and retiring from javelin in 2018, I moved to Shepshed, where I set up PERFORMOBILITY. Working with a whole range of people; Olympians, Paralympians, admin workers, lorry drivers, runners, crossfitters - I absolutely loved helping people with their function, pain and goals.

After years of deliberation and reluctance, I began studying BSc Physiotherapy at the University of Leicester. I am now an NHS physiotherapist and love my job! I work Thursdays and Saturdays here at Performobility as a sports massage therapist and will launch my rebrand with a new name and logo in early 2025 :D

Outside of work, I love hiking, wild camping, bird watching, lifting, bouldering, running, live music, gardening and spending time with my cat Felix!
